Ozark Junction is located 5 miles north of Rolla, Missouri...the Gateway to the Ozarks. Rolla is an easy hour-and-a-half drive from Columbia, Springfield or St. Louis. Jefferson City, Missouri’s state capital, is only about an hour away. Kansas City is roughly four hours to the northwest.
Rolla is the County Seat, Regional Shopping and Medical Center for Phelps and the surrounding Counties. It’s population tops out at almost 17,000. It is also home to Missouri University of Science & Technology (formerly UMR), with its own thriving population of 6,500 students. MS&T is known worldwide for its engineering programs.
Great fishing is very close at hand. Access to the Gasconade River, a terrific smallmouth bass fishery, is only a few miles from Ozark Junction. Trophy trout fishing is 30 minutes away at any number of areas, including Maramec Spring Park, Montauk State Park, the Little Piney River, Spring Creek and Mill Creek. The Lake of the Ozarks is only about an hours drive from Ozark Junction. The closest access points are the towns of Osage Beach and Camdenton. Lake of the Ozarks is well-known for its boating, fishing, championship golf courses, shopping and some great restaurants.
